Just a Little Catching Up To Do...

Phew, I feel like a year has transpired since I last really gave a good update. Not that your all on the edge of your seats waiting, but, sheesh, a LOT has happened! First of all, this guy right here past the 6 month milestone mark!
Can you get enough of that cuteness? I sure can't! This next one cracks me up.. him watching his older 4 year brother. His 4 year old brother is all kinds of crazy cute.
Hmmm.... not too sure about all that.
But in the end, our crazy guy just wins everyone over
Love those two little boys so very much. And I have to sadly say this pictures are from 2 or 3 weeks ago. Since then we have been experiencing some turbulence. A little craziness. Which I have to say, I'm not really sure what the Lord was thinking since right before I began to get sick (which would be right after the baby had his first bug and we were up many nights with him) that I felt as if we had never really fully rebounded from our bumpy spring. Huh. So the next morning after I said that my husband spent cleaning up after me getting sick everywhere. And taking care of four kids. I thought I had the flu. Then I thought it was dehydration. And then the I went to the doctor. She thought I should go to the ER. The ER asked ME what I thought was wrong. I said I thought maybe an ectopic pregnancy. Kidney Stones. Food poisioning. They obviously thought I knew what I was talking about and tested for all those things. I thought wrong. So I was sent to a GI doctor. He thought I should have surgery. Like a few days ago. I thought another test would be nice just to be certain. And that is where we are at. And oh yeah, have I mentioned Thanksgiving and Christmas are just weeks away and my husband works retail (read-- this is his extrememly busy time of the year). And I'm nursing a baby and homeschooling three other kids. I ain't got no time for sickness y'all. And here is the kicker-- just hours before I was told I might need surgery, we had just ordered all our new kitchen cabinets because our kitchen is getting a very much needed (there is no, I mean NO counter top space) makeover. And all of this is happening at the same time. I like to share with you what I did last friday. Began making a plan for my husband. Called my mom (hey, a girls got to do what a girls got to do!). And started earnestly pouring over the Psalms. One of my favorites is Psalm 42:5, "Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues? Fix my eyes on God— soon I’ll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He’s my God." I've also been trying to get my ducks in a row. Making sure we get school in. Ordering Christmas gifts. Picking out floor tile. And taking our family Christmas card picture. Now, if I had just my two well trained photographic older kids, our card would look a little something like this...
Are they not some of the most precious little faces ever? I'd also like to share a secret with you...Every second of the day when they argue Sometimes I wonder if they really are best friends. I mean they know each others buttons and they push away. But today my daughter was feeling kind of under the weather and I saw unbeknownst to my son him go over and give her a hug. And that just made my mama heart swell to bursting. But, back to our card. I actually have four kids. This is what you get when you have four kids:
As you can see, we had some silliness, some all out "I dont want my picture taken why can't we play in the creek" moments, some I dont want to sit next to that brother, some I wanted to hold the baby, and some not looking at the camera all at once. And also, my camera is still acting spritzy for lack of a better term. But don't worry, in the end I think we did get a winner or two. But when I see those four beautiful little faces my heart is so happy. They are so wonderful and such troopers! Really-- I was so blessed when they all did little things to take care of me. They loved on me. And I knew that even if we never have the most perfect Christmas card of them all, I have the most perfect kids hand picked by my loving Creator just for me. Because no matter how crazy it gets, I know He still has a plan. Night all!
